OUR NEW ZEALAND CRUISE ON GOLDEN PRINCESS

Just back from a 13 day cruise around New Zealand from Melbourne.  It was brilliant and, since we had been offered an upgrade to a full suite, we enjoyed the cruise even more.  Plenty of space in what was a two roomed suite with full bathroom (including spa bath), and a walk in wardrobe.....two wall mounted TVs, a DVD player and access to a DVD library.  We also qualified for loads of perks but I think one of the best, being a practical person, was free laundry which I made good use of so we came home with hardly any washing to be done.

John watching TV in our suite, with me taking the photo from our king sized bed.

One of our formal evenings - all dressed up for dinner.

Auckland and a photo taken from sailing ship, Ted Ashby, which we sailed on in the harbour.

In Wellington, we took a trip on the cable car to see the view from the top

Each evening, we took in two shows.  Whether it was a big production or a guest entertainer, they were all fabulous.

Other places we visited were Tauranga and Mt Manganui, Akaroa and Christchurch, Port Chalmers and Dunedin and Gisborne.  We also cruised Fiordland which is amazing.  I took hundreds of photos of course of all the places we visited.

It's hard to get back to reality after such a great holiday and I'm sure John will be looking for special cruise deals very soon.
